  Don't waste a minute in even perusing this sorry publication. Editor and publisher Herman Otten has been grinding his axe against the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod so long that there is no blade left. I thought he would ease up once Matt Harrison became synod president, but now Otten is after him as well. It is patently obvious that Otten wants the entire church to return to the 1950s because the only thing he prints, other than diatribes against the current synodical and seminary leadership, is ancient history from the glory days of Walter Maier and the like. I have no argument with Dr. Maier, but it's time to move on. Otten's newspaper is inaccurately named because his personal attacks on people are anything but "Christian" and there isn't a shred of "News" in this worthless rag. He also can't seem to understand plain English when I tell him to take my church off his mailing list... it just keeps clogging my mailbox.
